Former Pakistani pacer Wasim Akram made a bizarre revelation ahead of the India-Pakistan Super Four encounter on Sunday in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

As the two teams were about the fields, Akram revealed that he saw Indian batter Virat Kohli in a dream and stated that he gave the 34-year-old a compliment when he met him before the game.

"Today I walked past him and told Virat Kohli that you come in my dreams now. He replied saying: 'What do you mean Wasim bhai?' I told him because I see so much of you all on the television screen. I just can't get him out of my mind," Akram said on Star Sports

Akram then talked about the importance of players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Kohli as they can with matches on their own.

"Virat, Babar, Shaheen and all these match winners, they play this game for these moments — India vs Pakistan. I mean, for Pakistan everybody wants to perform and vice-versa. This is just make or break. Not for guys like Virat Kohli and Babar Azam but for young guys. These games are fun. Yesterday, the whole Colombo was buzzing," Akram added.

It must be noted that the match was called off for today due to continuous rain spells and now will continue tomorrow since a reserve day had been set aside for the high-voltage clash.

When the match was stopped due to rain, India were 147/2 in 24.1 overs.

Virat Kohli 8* and KL Rahul 17* will resume the innings for the Blues on Monday.

Earlier today, India got off to a flying start courtesy of Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma's aggressive century stand.

The two batters hit boundaries all over the ground and made sure that what happened in their group-stage encounter against the Green Shirts, doesn't happen again.

Sharma was removed by Shadab Khan for 56 off 49 while Gill became the victim of Shaheen Afridi after scoring 58 off 52, his knock included ten fours.

Lineups:

India: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj

Pakistan: Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Agha Salman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf
